No people. We've all been assimilated into the Borg.
We are the Borg. Lower your doors and surrender your gophers. We will add your shell and batch downloads to our own. Your dials will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

I found the Borg statement in Picard chilling:

"We are the Borg. You will be annihilated. Your biological and
technological distinction have become irrelevant. Resistance is
    futile... but welcome."

I thought the 2nd season of Picard was a little weird. And in season 3, they totally ignored the ramifications of the ending of season 2. I really enjoyed season 3 though.

I agree though I thought it ended preaty well. I also remembering asking John if we would ever get a look at what it looked like in the Q continuum and He said it would never happen and then it did in Voyager twice but they changed the reality that we has humans could comprehend but I was so glad they were able to bring back Patrick for his own series. I have also been a fan of Star Trek and have been to a few conventions back in the 80s..

the ending of season 2. I really
    enjoyed season 3 though.

Season 3 is the only part of that show
    worth watching :).

I tried to watch Picard but just could not get into it. I am hung up
on them looking so old and frail. I am glad the legacy continues. Do
you think this will be the last series we will see the original cast
    in? Elmer

I made it through and thought season 3 was the best. I think you could
even just watch season 3 and it will mostly make sense. It was really a
reunion season for The Next Generation and was a nice wrap up. The first
two seasons dragged on too much. I'm much more a fan of episodic Star
Trek rather than an expisode stretched across an entire season. But,
that worked for season 3 because it was better paced and you could see
it as one big movie. :-)

It's called a "story arc". I think Babylon 5 was the first sci-fi show to do this.

it's called poison. variety is the spice of life.
when you have story arcs the writers write shit and hate writing. and people hate watching.

Not to mention a lot of TV shows now only have 10 or so episodes per season.. TV shows used to have around 25 episodes per season.

I'm worried I'd be heavily disappointed these days but I sometimes miss Babylon 5 to a degree to consider watching again.
